I started a category called Personal Stories, as the little anecdotes come trickling in -- the stories that make us remember and understand why we are doing this, or that spur us on to do more.
Stories like this:
A group called “Chicks with Sticks” based in The Yarn Sellar in York, Maine, is knitting scarves for the project. Patti, the owner of the store, feels especially
passionate about this, as she and her husband have two adopted sons. When the boys came to live with them they each had a backpack that was donated to them, and they treasured the bags. Patti knows firsthand how much the scarves
will mean to the recipients.
Please let me know if you have a personal story you'd like to share.
