28 stitches, 28 rows, 28 socks....maybe even 28 pair?
This is the home blog for the Magic 28 web ring.
Please join our blog ring and knit warm socks for those in need using the simple sock "recipe" I call "Magic 28" or any sock pattern of your choosing. (bearing in mind that for charity knitting, worsted weight is preferable for extra warmth)
If you don't have a blog but would like to join us anyway, feel free to email photos of your finished socks to me and I'll post them here in the blog.
The Magic 28 pattern uses worsted-weight yarn and makes a toddler/young-child-size sock. It's a great way to use up worsted-weight oddballs and leftovers. The casually-written pattern is RIGHT HERE . I will list charities that are seeking children's socks if you wish to bring them to my attention, and you can send your completed works to the charity of your choice. No time limits, no policing, no stress. We might have a contest or two from time to time. Let's just have fun and knit socks when we can.
