Well, that was a lot of FUN. I'm getting some great things that I want, some other people are getting some great things that they want. We all win. Don't I wish I had about 10 of those hedgehog kits, though?
So. Free yarn! Get yourself over to Crossroad Knits and comment. Liz K. just completed a scarf in red Andean Silk yarn. She's now giving away some more of the yarn to a lucky commenter. Only one small catch. You must promise to knit a scarf for the project. Seems reasonable to me.
For Rabbitch, a quick vanilla beanie. (it's actually mottled oatmeal in color) Two lunchtimes is all it took. I love it so much in its warm simplicity (and get this, fellow pinheaders: It doesn't make me look like a pinhead. Well, not too much) that I'm going to make one for myself. I used Wool-Ease for this one, and will use my handspun or the famous Rambouillet aka Plain Vanilla (now Red Phoenix) yarn for mine. Before I block it and put it in an envelope, I'll probably whip out another one for Project Hats For Vancouver.
